Looking like a bargain at this sort of price. Massively superior to the rubbish/ugly Fondmetal wheels that people seem to have become excited about, and not made out of plasticene either, which the lame Fondmetals wheels were. I don't know how the Fondmetal myth started, as they were the cheapest wheels that you could buy - the Porsche equivalent of the Alleycat! Anyway, their being crap isn't the point. The point is that these CX600s are brilliant in comparison and likely as not, no dearer.
 
I suspect that Paul means to say that he thinks that they are horrible. Opinion and fact are not the same thing.

They're certainly of their time and not something that I would choose, but they're far, far higher quality than Fondmetal cross spoke wheels and they will look better (in my opinion) in a less gaudy colour. BBS wheels were commonly found with gold centres too...

Offset on three piece wheels is adjusted using different inner and outer rim sections, called barrels (sometimes lips and barrels).
