Hi Guys
has this forum gone to sleep? Or perhaps youve all cashed in on the increased values and sold your 3.2's , or possibly all moved to your winter homes in the South of France.
Anyway, over the past month I have noticed an amazing increase in the level of condensation in the garage, due to the odd temperature fluctuations we have had here in the South. Constant damp, warm days, colder nights and humidity levels of 90-98%. My garage Is a large double, with open rafters and bone dry. Got airbricks and ventilation under the doors and eaves. During November I stated to notice abnormal levels of condensation on the car. Car is normally covered and the cover started to feel damp.
i have never had this before in 20 years. Talking to people, they all said it was due to the abnormal temperaturesq and humidity, and the simple answer is to improve the air circulation around the car.
I was sceptical but put an Oscillating fan in the garage. It worked considerably better than I expected, and the garage and importantly the car is now totally clear.
Basically what I'm saying is that whilst you think you have adequate circulation and no previous issues, check it to make sure your car is not quietly rotting away in what you thought were perfect storage conditions.
Regards and happy Xmas etc etc to you all, except you bastards basking in the Cote de Zur.
Regards
Graham
