Condensation on passenger window

Mercedes

New member
For the last couple of days we have noticed a tiny line of condensation on the upper edge of the passenger door. It's not right at the top of the glass, but like a couple of cms down and it's just towards the handle end of the door, if that makes sense. We did clean and waterproof the hood at the weekend and I wondered if some water had managed to get into one of the seals on the door, although I'm really clueless as I'm not at all technical. The window on the driver's side is fine, so it's obviously not something that is supposed to happen. Any idea on what could be wrong would be appreciated.

You are probably right. If you can leave the window down for while while to let the seal dry then re-check. If it is still wet write back and we will try to further diagnose the cause.

Thanks Nick, will do that today and let you know how it goes.

Well the condensation did go away, so we assumed it was from cleaning the roof.

However we've had quite a lot of rain here in the UK over the last few days and last night I did notice the same line of condensation on the passenger window again, so I'm guessing there is some problem as the driver's side is fine.

I've also noticed a bit of a rattle on the passenger side too, seems to be coming from the window but it's hard to tell.

Not really sure what to do about it, should we just leave it or take it in to be sorted out. The car is still under warranty but not sure if the warranty would cover something like that.
