Does anybody else get condensation on the inside of the rear boot lid over the oil and water check/fill point? If so what causes it?

No idea what causes it but it is common had it on my last one and looked at one the other day and it to had it so do not think it is a problem.

I get a tiny bit of condensation in the same area, had thought about asking too, must be normal.

Dear All,

Had it too. Keep an eye on it, it could be to do with two things...

1. The o-ring on your water cap has worn/perished and as its a pressuried cooling system, you are losing coolant there, hence the condensation.

2. Tighten the cap! I really had to give it some welly to make sure I did lose coolant.

Eventually the collant warning light will go on as you can lose a surprising large amount of coolant through a loose/illfitting cap.

cheers,

Iain
