Connecting an Ipod to the standard Becker

Has anyone yet successfully installed an Ipod via a cradle into the standard Becker/Porsche ICE system?

Presumably this could be done using the port that would normally be used for the CD stacker?

It almost sounds as though I know what I am talking about!

What Becker does the 993 have?
The newer ones can be linked to an iPod via a device from a company called "Denison".

I believe the unit fitted may be a Becker CR210 - the standard issue with the 1997 993?

Forget about hard wiring the Ipod what you want is a device called the XtremeMac AirPlay FM Transmitter.

Superb little gizmo that allows you to use your Ipod in the car with no wires.

Is there any reduction in sound quality using this approach?

... and what about keeping the Ipod charged?

Have not noticed any drop in sound quality, but then I am running a set of Maxflo's[]

You would have to get round that issue even if you hard wired into the back of the head unit. I suppose buy an incar charger, or charge it each night in the cradle.
