I have it done a few times by a company in Warrington, Leathercare Renovations, and the results were fantastic, cost was approx £200. They do know of a company further south that does the same type of work so if you give them a ring they may be able to help you out.

www.southboundtrimmers.com Southbound trimmers say Porsche will charge you over a £1000.00 per seat squab and not include fitting. But they say they can do a pair in Black leather only, for what looks to me like for under a grand+ VAT. Any other colour ie, Porsche spec colours are available, at an extra cost. Ive gota get my front seats done too, and the steering wheel.

A lot of people swear by Southbound - haven't used them myself, but for my old 944 I had a pair of front seats and the rear unit done by J Mussell & Son in Godalming. They're a specialist trimmers, and used by Camtune among others for Porsche work.

My seats were in a poor state, and needed a deep clean, a couple of small patches, and a re-dye. When they were done they looked like brand new (seriously), so I couldn't have been happier with the result. So happy that I'll be getting the current car done once I've sorted a couple of other bits and pieces out. Will probably get them to look at the steering wheel/gear stick leather as well.

It's a small family business, so it can take a short while for the job to get done. I left my seats there for a couple of weeks, so you'll need other transport. If I remember, the total bill was about £250 or so. They can take the seats out/refit, but there's little point paying someone to do that as it's very straightforward. They even lent me a socket with an elbow to make it easier!

Cheers/John
