Considering 993 purchase

I am toying with the idea of buying a 993 preferably a late model C4/C4s. My Boxster is now out of warranty. I am really not getting the use out of it to justify replacing it with a new(er) one and everytime I see a well sorted 993 I really fancy one. Dont see the point in buying an older 996 at Boxster level prices. Does any one have a late model 993 even if not selling to let me see by way of an example and be given a shot in even as passenger? I have left similar post on 993 forum if anyone is interested in the string that has led to. Is there a reputable indep dealer in Scotland?

Kenny Dunn in Edinburgh has a selection usually, although can be expensive. You could also call Peter McCann at Motortune, Shotts to see if he knows of anybody that is selling.

Sorry don't have my 993 anymore, otherwise would have been more than happy to give you a shot.

Kevin Devaney is selling his I think it is a 2s not sure of all the details
How did Le Mans go
What is the spec of your boxster

I think KD thinks he is back with Porsche some off his prices are not far off OPC I suppose we have all got to make a living

The 2S that kevin has is a wide body car as oppossed to the 2s which is the tiptronic model code that Stewart has.

I have a 1997 993 C2s Tip in Artic silver your more than welcome to have a look.
I live in Edinburgh But work in Blantyre.

Drew,
I'm down south until late Thursday but I'll take you out in mine if you want a look at a slim-body (non-S). My office is in Glasgow so easy to meet you there.

I'll drop you a PM with my phone number.

Brian, thanks for the post

Le Mans was great apart from the weather as it poured on Sunday leading to the safety car going out at 1pm and staying out till near the end. PCGB campsite held up and facilities as good as ever. Its the whole package including the drive down the race and everything that makes it a great trip

Boxster spec as follows;- 19" Carrera wheels, colour crests; sports seats, full leather int; PSM; 6CD changer; Bose and wind deflector, heated seats, sports wheel; auto aircon.

Thanks for all the posts guys. I will get in touch individually, probably next week as I am out on business next few days

Someone replied directly by email-I think someone from Dunfermline. Unfortunatley I lost the email whilst monitoring my in box remotely. If its not too much trouble can they resend?

I really should. I tend to work late or at home at nights and "save" nights off during the week for gym, girlfriend but I will pitch up one of these nights
