Considering a 964

Hi guys....

I'm currently looking into a weekend car to have some fun with over Summer, I have narrowed things down to a couple of choices...either a Guards Red C2/C4 or a S2 Lotus Exige.

If it's a 964, ideally I would like Guards Red, black leather, tear drop mirrors, sports suspension and 17" Cup rims. Budget is up to £16k-ish.

I've found a few cars that I'm considering, but all are in England whereas I'm in Northern Ireland. These are the cars in question:

Any help, advice or actual cars for sale would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Hi, I live in Ballymena and currently have a 1989 c4. It has covered 106 k miles, Guards red, refurbished genuine 17 cup alloys with new Bridgestone N rated tyres, teardrop mirrors, clear front lenses, cup exhaust, black leather sports seats and lowered with eibach lowering kit. It went through MoT on Tuesday past and has tax until May. Wasnt really thinking about selling but might be persuaded.. Give me a ring if you are interested 07999009997

Hi Paul - thanks for that.

Your car sounds lovely, I will give you a call tomorrow at some stage - I'm conscious that it's quite late tonight!

I'm from Ballymoney, but live in Belfast....I'm up round the North Coast most weekends so I could come and view the car on Saturday if you're about?

No deal has been done....

Still considering my options. Do you have a car for sale?

No, just interested in how you are getting on. The one in the PH ad is sold now. Strasse have a good reputation and having two to look at if you can make the trip over would be a plus point for you. Unfortunately they don't give much of a description to go on but I would choose the second one as Strasse have sold it before and are happy to do so again.

I initially wanted guard's red but ended up buying my Grand Prix White one. As the saying goes, buy on condition first. If you're interested in a white one, you'll find one here:

This dealer (Marcus) is located in the Northwest so you could combine a viewing with a trip to Strasse.

I know that the 964 is now sold from Specialist Cars of Malton, but it appeared to come with a years warranty. (bumper to bumper as they state). Which to me would indicate a significant confidence in their cars, not to mention the preparation they leave with. Possibly a reflection of the price! However not all sellers are as confident in the reliability of what they are selling, especially on a car that is over 15 years old. Obviously some one thought so too,! Happy 964 motoring!

I have had 2 911s from Specialist Cars and the warranty is as stated - ANYTHING that goes wrong gets fixed no problem - not that much goes wrong.
