At the tender age of 63, looking for a Euro Cruiser, so LHD and tiptronic. This particular tt Has low miles, good service history and is still running original, Brakes, Exhaust and Suspension.

What is my immediate expenditure and other pointers please?

Another kettle Des? First since the GT3 isn't it?
Have a look at the 996 buyer's guide that Richard and I wrote, all those points apply. Add to that, make sure the turbo's are not leaking. Very reliable cars.
Good luck!

Thank you and YES my second kettle after a very impressive GT3 similar sought Mezger engine. Will look at the buyers guide, thank you.

Check the transmission for ATF leaks from gaskets. It was a bit of a nightmare to fix on mine, and I believe it isn't uncommon. Turbo wastegate actuator rods tend to corrode away. Also, the rear springs tend to sag due to the engine weight, giving a slightly nose-up attitude.

Hydraulic rams on spoiler is another known fault with age. Usual suspension components start to creak. Other than that turbo's are pretty bullet proof.

Tipper is ideal for the Turbo, not much gear changing needed.
Add to the other comments: Brake and water pipe corrosion, brake disks don't last long, check transmission box for leaks.
