Console Buttons and Window Switches (Oval Dash)

Which ones should illuminate? At present my central locking button illuminates but not the mirror switcher or the rear wiper buttons. My electric window switches do not illuminate either.

Can someone enlighten me as to which (if any) should be lit up? No pun intended!

Thanks

Stuart

IIRC.. only the central locking switch lights up on the central console?

Yeah, mine is the same, my favourite trick is hitting the sunroof open switch instead of the rear wiper. Doh!!

Would appear that only the central locking button illuminates then, can't understand the design logic there.........

Next, does anyone's window switches illuminate?

No they don't i'm afraid. The little pictures are just painted on the switches. You can get luminous transfers where you use alcohol to wipe off the paint, and stick on the luminous transfers. Not sure how well they'd work though. See link below...

Same place that does the dash binnacle LED kit.

Some people use LEDs to illuminate the area: either in a strip or mounted behind/through the odment box. Its an inelegant solution, but its better than opening your sunroof when you were trying to adjust your mirrors. If you have central locking then the other option would be to memorise the position of the other buttons in relation to the illuminated locking button... [:D]
