Does anyone have any contacts with the Italian Porsche club? Or the Porsche center in Milan ? My car had an italian club sticker in the window when i got it. Would love to trace the cars history further.
I know we have a varied international following on here now. thought it was worth a try.

Laurence, you are infected now, too.[:D]

Seriously: I have a friend in Rome. If you need correspondence in Italian, he will be able to help. Let me know.

There is contact between the 'Official Porsche Clubs' through Porsche Ag.
Our contact is through our Chairman I suggest that you contact Martyn and solicit his help.

Or also Speak to Tomas he sold you the car ..... he will tell you want you want to know I'm sure .....

Have fired off a few emails . My problem as is likely for many others is that I have had the car since 02 so any history is almost certainly long in the tooth now. However I now have a "contact" in Italy (thanks Martin) . Hopefully he might find out a bit more for me.
When I had my Carrera 3.0 I managed to trace all owners back to the original who sent me a very nice letter about the car. But that was a UK car so a lot easier to do.

Laurence,

good luck for your search! It makes sense to find out as much as possible. On the one hand it´s nice to know, on the other hand future values will depend on provenance, evidences for being original, etc.. So, do it now, it won´t become easier. At every auction you have to pay a premium for cars with good history, e. g. an Aston Martin from the 50s with three owners only, fully documented, papers and pictures, etc. is way more expensive than the same car with "nothing".

I know a guy who recently found out everything about his RS before it came to the UK. Some nice surprises occured and some riddles were solved. It´s fun to search, at least as long as it is WINTER.......[:D]
