Just in case you are not aware, Kwik Fit currently have the following promotion on Continental tyres: Buy 3 get 1 free or buy 2 receive 15% discount. If you order them from their website you receive a further discount compared to ordering/buying them directly from your local branch. My guess is they have to compete with blackcircles and mytires.
Today I got 4 Conti Sport Contact 275/45/19 fitted for £710 [My local OPC previously quoted in the region of £1200 for the various N approved tyres]. Ordering them online with the promotion should really have cost £760, but somehow the order chucked a wobbly and gave me a further discount per tyre. Before placing the order online, I contacted my local branch to enquire about availability. The helpful manager even offered to order them for me on the basis he could get them next day delivery and even honour the incorrect website price of £710 [on receipt of the print out] rather than the actual £760.
My tractor left the factory with Pirelli P Zeros. I replaced the rear set just over a year ago but only got a poor 6,000 miles from them, due to wearing in the centre. As the front set were also due for replacement [after 2+ years & 16,000 miles], I decided to take the opportunity and make the switch to Continentals.
My other half has Contis on her BMW 5 series touring, which she has had for over 5 years, and has only just recently replaced the entire set for the second time. On her car I've found them to deliver excellent all-round performance yet be very hard wearing.
