Continentals OR Michelines?

I am fast approaching replacement "shoes" on my 19 inch wheels and am probably going to put the Continental Sport Contacts back on. The trouble is should I look to change over to Micheline Latitude Alpins. Whilst at Ragley Hall I spoke with the Micheline team and they did a good job of making me consider the change.

I suppose the question is - has anyone got good / bad experience of either options? Do the Michelines really last longer? Which perform better?

Hi, I have not experienced the the new Michelins that Porsche are fitting to the Cayenne II (sorry don't know the name but OPC would tell you), however I hated my Continental sport contacts with a vengeance, I went for 19" Pirelli Rossos N marked which although feeling softer in the side wall stuck like glue in the wet.
I had a Continental Cross Contact set of tyres fitted to my Audi allroad and they were superb in all conditions including snow and even spoke to UK sales Manager to ask if they would bring them out in 19" for the Cayenne at the time they said 19" wasn't a popular size but this was 18 months ago.
Don't have the Cayenne now but if I did I would consider the Michelins as they perform so well on other Porsche cars. My Wife has a Touareg and we couldn't wait to get the Bridgestone Turanzas off, went for Hankook Ventus as all Treg owners rave about them and don't disagree but we are talking oil burners and not Porsche.

Cheers

Paul
