Conti's or PZero's?

I am about to change tyres. I currently have Kuhmo's all round on 18" rims (which were fitted when I bought it and are getting a bit low) but these aren't "N" rated. I had Conti Sport Contact 2's on my 993 which were quite good, but I am also considering PZero Rossos.

Has anyone had experience of both? Which are better in the wet, and which are quieter?

Richard,

If it helps, there is a link to Porsches own tyre tests from the last few years in the FAQ in the General forum.

Although you will get a lot of different opinion here on the forum as well!

Richard, I've use both. I found tha Conti's a very good road tyre but went off quickly on track. I believe the Rosso's will be better on track but they give a much harsher ride on the road because they have a lower profile (I think). The wear rate on the Conti's was extremely good, but it is too early to say what it will be on the Rosso's and, as yet, I have not done any track days with them. You pays your money and makes your choice!

I have had Conti's fitted, but never Rosso, so sorry no comparisons.
I found the Conti's to have plenty of grip and a very good road tyre, although I have seen other post who say different. The wear rate to the rear was terrible but I believe that to have been a problem with the car, the fronts went on for ever, gave a good ride and low road noise. I did the ring on them and yes 3/4 way round pretty naff.. didn't wreck them though!
Found the price to be reasonable and not as expensive as the Pilot sports.
