Yet to do some dual carriage way driving/overtaking to see how much difference it makes in practice, but here is the photographic evidence.

Pictures taken from driver's eye position.

How much are they? Think I'll get some.

Until I got used to them being crapper than my old 3.2, I had a few near misses due to the restricted vision, and still have to look over my shoulder just in case there's something in the blind spot.

I'll check the invoice tonight but expensive. From memory £65 each side (less PCGB discount plus VAT). They are heated, which is some excuse.

I looked upon it as being like an HID upgrade - should make a big difference to certain types of driving.

Mark,

Did you get the PCGB discount from OPC Glasgow?

Harry
I did !
Parts dept seem to be trying quite hard these days - their system even seems to be remembering that I'm a PCGB member between visits[:)]

Should have asked. Not so long ago I don't think they were giving discounts to PCGB.

I can't see any images...
Have they re-appeared for you ? (might have been a temporary problem with photobucket).

I looked at the invoice - they were 62.87 GBP each list (ie before PCGB 10% discount and VAT)

Having since done some driving I'm v pleased - has transormed my lane swapping confidence - esp in town were it's tough to maintain a memory of cars around you.

It's also great being able to see those beautiful hips on her rear-end while driving[:)]

I don't understand why they are not fitted as standard?

Chris,
Simple for most people! - would be for me if I was doing it a second time[8|].
The only tough bit was working out how to remove the old mirror glasses - the trick is very easy once you realise how they are held on.

Whole story documented here: http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=404458

Really recommend it - has transformed the drivability in busy traffic.
