Coolant level drops

Hi guys, i topped up my coolant to the min last night and tonight on my way home the little red light started flashing again. When i got home i popped the boot to check the level and it seems to have dropped out of the main resevoir bit of the header tank. Is this normal when its been heated up? Oh ishould mention its either a 00 or a 01 cap but ive got the latest revision due to be delivered on friday.

Any traces of water on the engine compartment just under the coolant tank? If so, the tank might have cracked or pinholed, which is very common.

If there is water in the tray around the coolant cap, which exits through a rubber tube on the tray, then it is probably the cap blowing off at too low a pressure. Were you giving it some beans? That's when it usually happens

Hi guys, further to my last question on coolant leaks i took my car in for a service at porschtek (very good job btw) and when it was up on the ramp and noticed that the coolant leak is from a plate on the bottom of the engine. I would post a picture but its in the middle of the car so hopefully someone will know what im on about. Apparently theres a newer revision with a better seal so i was thinking of changing itmyself is this possible?
