Hi everyone,

recent radiator and air con changes has meant the coolant system has been drained. Ive read lots of info on various forums but all i need to know, and still cant find the answer to is this;

What coolant can i use as i need to completely fill the system 50/50, i think its a 26 litre capacity.
Comma use a range of Xstream G codes and colours. Please could somebody just tell me which one, thanks.

ps Porsche do their own 20 litre container but want £135 incl vat which i think is too excessive.

Normally the coolant is about £8 a litre so 20 x 8 would be £160 so £135 seems like a good deal if its the right stuff.

This would be true if you were guing to buy 20 lots of 1 litre bottles.
However statistics can be used in many ways, ie

1. half the system would require 13 litres x 8 = £101 but remember you havent included vat
2. why pay 7x8=£56 for coolant just to be sat on your garage shelf?

The comma stuff is around £20 for 5 litres, therefore total cost could be between £40 - £60 at most.
However, just need to know the right product/code/colour.

Its the Comma G30 you need. I tend to use Porsche coolant as its the only car I had with engine paranoia and I wanted to make 100% sure that nothing I added would react with the existing coolant and reduce the efficiency. That said, the Comma G30 is very good and has a lot of manufacturer approvals. What a lot of people don't realise is that Comma is now owned by Mobil and the coolants use BASF Glysantin as the corrosion inhibitor which is the benchmark.
