My cooling fan is staying on way too long. I know they do this but normaly they go off, and then back on at different intervals when the car has been on a journey. Even more odd, when turned on at cold start up and then turned back off imediatly, the fan comes on for a long periodof time when normaly the engine would no way be hot enough to warant it. Has a temperature senson gone? or a thermostat? Help, my battery keeps dying.[

This sounds like the outer sensor for the engine auxiliary blower is a goner. Also the Double Relay Aircon/cooler/blower. I needed both on a 993 Carrera 1994 # 311775. The part nos from EuroCar-Parts as follows. They are, by the way, VAG parts (VW Audi Group) 219330420 Ref 96465912 000 = Outer sensor
450330480 Ref 81195125 3 = Double relay this relay with the number "1" on it (to show right way up fitment) goes in the relay box on left of the engine bay. The long pointy one in the air blower channel to engine cooling area. Best regards MN
