Cooling fan relay

This happened to mine and it is the fan switch in the radiator not a relay. A pain to change. Matt take one of the fuses out, cannot remember which one it is for now until you get it fixed. Cheers lee
 
I think the fan switch was only about £17 ish I had other bits done, but I guess someone will charge you an hour or so's labour if you do not want to do it.

It is a pain yes, but for me my car is only a used at weekends, so I just popped the fuse back in when I wanted to drive it till I got it fixed
 
My 91 s2 cooling fans are running until the battery dies, and I assume this is the cooling fan relay being stuck on. I want to replace this myself but cannot see how to remove the relay its self from the fuse box. anyone have any ideas??

Hi Matt, mine was also radiator thermostat- Lee is spot on i was charged an hours labour, but unfortunately it had destroyed an 18 month old battery. Battery conditioner now hard wired in. Cheers Ron
