Cooling fan staying on????

Hello everyone

Just been into town for a leisurely drive and I mean leisurely and when I get home after only 8 miles the fan on the radiator is still blowing 15 to 20 mins later???

Could the relay be stuck? I did take it out give it a knock and stick it back in, but fan just fired up again.

Anyone ever had this?

Any help appreciated

yes. Very common. Normally the thermoswitch in the rad - about half way down on the right hand side. Only about £20 from http://www.partsforporsche.co.uk/osc/, easy but fiddly to replace.

I pulled the fuses for the cooling fans and drove around like that for a while - not ideal but ok so long as you dont sit in traffic.

Sorry for hurried reply - about to clear off for the weekend!
