Cooling System Capacity

Does anybody know what the cooling system capacity is of an S2? I've just had to top it up quite a bit (3 litres [:eek:]) and I wonder how much of the total system that represents.

I just had it serviced and I suspect that the heater matrix valve wasn't open when done. I will be phoning them on Monday to discuss!

It probably does, but alas one of the previous owners misplaced it and so I don't have one.

I hope it's the 8.5 litres suggested as that way, at least I had a reasonable amount of coolant in place. I wonder what my indie's excuse will be?

jeesus James. for gods sake don't use it unless you are sure the coolant system is properly vented.
Its a very well known problem with 944's You often need to add a hose to the header tank and raise it a metre or two and feed from that height so that the increased pressure forces the air out of the system.
Listen out for gurling inside the cabin which is a sure sign of air in the system.

Where did you get it serviced ? so I know not to take mine there[:(]
