Copper flecks in water from coolant bleed screw?

Hi one and all

Topped up my expansion tank with a litre or so of water yesterday (water leak from water pump, due to be fixed in a couple of months). When I bled it after driving it today, white froth came out of the bleed screw, and when the bubbles subsided they left a residue of copper coloured flecks around the bleed screw. The coolant in the expansion tank looks fairly normal (pink antifreeze), though I did think I could see the occasional speck of copper in it. (Maybe because I was expecting to see it) I was actually sad enough to take a picture of the coppery residue, if anyone has a burning desire to see it?!

The only thing that springs to mind as to why this might be the case is that I put in a can of Wynn's coolant system fixer (or whatever it's called) a year or two ago, and when I poured that it, it looked to have some coppery bits in it when mixed with the coolant. However, why would the coppery bits surface now in my bleed vent? (I've bled it numerous times since putting the Wynn's in, and not seen them before).

Anyone had this, or have any ideas what might be causing it? Should I be concerned? She is running as sweetly as ever, all dials are normal.

Cheers.
