In a word no. Best to check out the excellent article in Porsche Post (January 2007) Technical Topics which says to use only Aluminium -based Optimoly TA paste as directed in the article.

Spot on

I think that is what we call anti-seize. A grease with a ground up metal particles. Copper, aluminum, nickel, and so on. I have aluminum and copper, but I forget what flavor is in the spray can.

I always though copper was for high temp applications, like a spark plug. For a wheel bolt apllication I cannot see how it would matter what flavor you use.

Anyone know where Optimoly TA paste can be bought?

Thanks,

My local OPC (Porsche Centre Mid Sussex) had it on the shelf and including posting it to me at home it was around seventeen pounds but it more than enough for the life of the car.

My first port of call was my local OPC - they didn't stock it. But, as Richard pointed out, Motobins have it at £6.75 + £1.99 postage so I will be ordering from them.
