Cornbury House Drive

Chris Elston wrote something this morning on the Porsche Club GB Region 9 West Midlands Facebook page asking if anyone had been out.
That got me thinking...
The Cornbury House Christmas Open Day is on the 4th December and I thought it might be nice if we were to meet up and drive down in convoy. My suggestion is to meet up at Budbrooke Services Southbound, A46 Warwick by-pass, Warwick CV35 8RH as this has a largish car park and is not far from the M40 junction and A429. As the open day starts at 10:30 we could meet up at 9:30. There is a Starbucks on the site so if some wanted to arrive earlier they could grab a coffee before the off.
If you want to join the drive down to Cornbury House please let them know you are coming to the event otherwise there won't be enough coffee and biscuits to go around.
Email events@porscheclubgb.com to confirm your attendance.

Don't forget Tuesday is club night at The Bear, see you there.

Hi Tom,

Good idea. Just to be clear, I think the postcode you put on is for the services by the BP filling station on the A46 just west of Warwick, not the "Warwick Services" on the M40. Is that right?

I think the A46 option is the better of the two, by the way.

Chris

Thanks for making me double check things Chris, I've edited the post slightly (and the one on Facebook). The address is the one on the A46 which is where I meant (I even checked Starbucks website).

That would be the way I would travel from home in Market Bosworth, so sounds an interesting meet and drive.

Hi, is the meeting spot on the A46 heading towards the M40 junction ( from the Coventry side). Opposite where there used to be a little chef a while back?
Between the Warwick Parkway exit and the M40?
Cheers, Giles

Is it 9 or 9:30 that we're planning to meet tomorrow?

I know this thread says 9:30 but I'm sure I've seen 9 on a communication somewhere (Facebook maybe?)

Stephen

Yes, we are still meeting tomorrow (sunday) from 9:00am to leave at 9:30am (sorry for any confusion caused). Tom

What a great way to start the morning, and the look on the faces of the ladies in Starbucks at the site of 17 Porsches (and the attendant rise in early Sunday morning sales) was wonderful :)

We were driving past Barford when a silver 993 and a 996 gen 2 went by, initially I thought that was a poor turn out, but later as we went past the services we saw a large gathering of Porsche cars waiting for the off.
Great sight to see!
Glad you all had a good time.
Cheers, Giles
