Cornwall WOTY

Big thanks to Martyn for our WOTY.

We had a great time and all got home safe and sound.

Les more than made up for the inadequacies of the whispering guide of Eden, by enthrawling us with tales from home. The guide at 'Ligen was superb at made for a realy great day.

It was a big shame that we couldn't all be together at the Country Club. I think we were sidelined with the promise of Big Bucks for the wedding party. Belinda Peter and I thought our accomodation was excellent (aside some noisy neighbours rolling in in the early hours [;)]) and much appreciate Martyns sacrifice in roughing it at "The Other Place".

Where are we going to go in 2005 then?

I am pleased the weekend was enjoyed by everybody despite the indifferent weather, but at least it was dry when we went for walkabouts.

For 2005, I am contemplating a trip to the Lake District at about the same time, or maybe a week later, when the leaves will be turning. All proposals for places to visit would be greatly appreciated, as well as an indication of those interested.

Great idea Martyn. By then the "Let's pretend to be Gypsies" brigade should have their white mobile road blocks all locked away for the winter.

Have only been to The Lakes once, and that was PP (pre Peter) so I'm not sure we would be much good for ideas, although Kendal rings a bell as somewhere to go. I seem to recall a friend went to a car museum, in that area, which has Chitty Chitty Bang Bang as part of the collection. Beatrix Potter and Peter Rabbit is also big in that area so could be "Something for the Laydees!"[;)]

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

Are you truley, truley scrumtious as well !
You have got to be KIDDING.

Fast cars + quiet , twisty roads, now you're talking.......I'm/we're in, work permitting.

I'd be interested in the lakes. Best go off peak 'cos I know from experience it can get damned crowded in summer.
