Correct Carrera Badge Height?

Greg Park

New member
I've got a flat bootlid for my 3.2 Carrera and have just had it resprayed to the correct colour.

I need to fix the Carrera badge but I'm not sure what the correct height should be.

Could someone with an original flat lid (non-sport model) let me know how far from the bottom the bottom of the Carrera badge should sit?

Thanks,

Greg

Hi Greg,
From the lower closing edge of the engine cover to the lower edge of the Carrera logo there is 19cm's, from the left hand vertical closing edge of the lid to the "C" in the Carrera logo there is 32cm.

Regards...Gwyn.

Having finally got the car ready and lining up the Carrera badge as the measurements above the logo looked a little low.

On checking a couple of 911 books for reference the Carera logo actually needs to sit higher on the flatlid than on a lid with a spoiler.

I ended up lining it up using the reference shots and it looks great.

Gwyn,
No problems, from the lower closing edge of the engine cover to the lower edge of the Carrera logo is 29.8 cm's.

It's aligned centrally (left to right).

As I said this is what I think looks about right.

Greg

Delay in getting a good picture, but hopefully this will give you an idea of the height.
