This is the list of jobs that need to be done on the 964 I'm looking at

Front discs slightly corroded on inside
Gear selector rubber loose (now secured with cable tie)
Slight leak from front diff output
Gearbox mount split
Handbrake light intermittently working

I'm not worried about the discs, but I dont know if the rest are easy or difficult an expensive?????

These are all easy repairs for the competent diyer in my view

The hardest thing will be the diff output shaft but even then it's still straight forward.

Would have thought 3-4 hrs work at an indie.

Interesting , I've had sometime to check this matter out on the diff seals and unless I've miss read thing it appears to be a bugger of a job, involving dropping the steering rack and the diff to get to them.

Sorry I have mis read. I thought you meant the gearbox diff output seal. I did one on my c2 and it was pretty straightforward.

I can see now we are talking about a c4!! I am not so sure on this model. I would have thought though that the output flanges are similar to the rear ones. You would defo have to unbolt the drive shaft from the diff. Then you maybe able to remove the flange from the diff with it still in place. Then change the output seal. The same sort of job as on c2 rear. My flange had a 13mm bolt in the center and was on a spline inside the diff housing

As I said I am not 100% sure on this particular model but if you have to remove steering rack and remove the complete diff to get to it then granted its a pain!!
