Is for cars........and planes![:)]

If any 964RS owners/Club members would like to join me for breakfast at White Waltham then a jolly to Kemble via the overhead at Cornbury House, let me know![:D]

That's a great idea. But as a professional formation instructor, might I request a proper briefing and hold designation. I'll be at 1500' agl in the hold left hand orbit, 120 kts @ 1100Z. Next to join the stack at 2000' etc. [:D]

ORIGINAL: andy watson Hi Melv, They have changed the date - 27th May.....you will be waiting around a long time [:D]

1500' separation!! That's hardly in formation!![:)]

Mel I think Derek has implied that the next level in the stack would be at 2000ft.....only 500ft separation!! That might be OK for the 'boys in blue' but we civilian pilots and ATCOs use the correct separation of 1000ft! Might be a case here for me to dust off my old approach control licence?!!! Roger (Beeechcraft Baron @ 180 kts)

Silly billy. You will know that until visual a join is always done with 500 ft height separation, then when visual contact is made the joining aircraft moves to close formation, ie 5 - 10 feet apart. Surely we don't want a mid-air above Cornbury House... or do we [:D]

This thread reminds me of this classic... Q: How do you know if there's a pilot in the room? A: He'll tell you!

LOL Rich -so true!! Derek -I think a bomb and strafing run could be arranged....lines up nicely with RAF Moreton-in-Marsh's runway 22..... [;)]

Sounds good, but what will the bomb consist off? In my time I have dropped flour bombs, HE, napalm, flares, cluster, lazer guided, and carried Nucs (did not get to drop those!) Alternatively, we could hire a crop sprayer and fill it with paint???????
