Update **The date of the Cotswolds Rally no longer clashes with out events in May- it is now taking place on 27th May
With this im mind I will look at the possibilty of doing a weekend trip for those interested in attending one of the club great events.

A great chance to have a meander around the Cotswolds region of England at your own pace with a great stop-off mid point.
One of the great official moving events that the club does and we should always support those.

This is the first announcement of this years event. The date is Sunday 27th April and the starting venue Cornbury House.

I would like to introduce our sponsor, Heritage Insurance is with us for a fifth year and as anyone attending previous years event will tell you, their enthusiasm is amazing.

This year we go to Kemble Airport for our midway stopping point and we will be using a Southern Cotswold route for the Rally. There are facilities for you to eat the picnic provided in comfort or enjoy food in the "˜AV8' restaurant.

For new members[/b]. This is a social rally with no time element. It can be viewed as a fun event in it's own right or a taster for more ambitious event in the future. certificate. It is run under a "˜Motorsport[/i][/b] Association Certificate of Exemption for a Touring Assembly'.[/i][/b] We value the participation of families and there is a special award for "˜The Family Porsche' as well as "˜The car of the event', "˜The Classic Car', "˜Special Award' and "˜Register Award'. No skill is required and any standard Porsche, even a GT3, will be suitable. No special preparation is required.

What do I get? [/b]As usual each car is supplied with Tulip route maps, a rally plate, windscreen sticker and a good quality picnic for two people. Entry to the stopover venue is also included .
[/b]
[/b]
Please note that this event is limited to a Maximum of 100 cars and you are advised to book early to avoid disappointment.[/b]
[/b]
[/b]
What does it cost? [/b]The entry fee is unaltered from lasts year and remains at £40 per car.

How do I book?[/b] You send a stamped addressed envelope to "˜Cotswold RalIy, PCGB, Cornbry House, Cotswold Business Village. Moreton in Marsh GL56 0JQ
will then send you an application form which you fill in and return with a cheques made out to "˜PCGB Cotswold Rally'. You can request the form on email to r31@porscheclubgb.com but be aware that the forms are bulky and some firewalls reject them.

Club Health Warning. Cotswold Rallies are addictive and many entrants have stickers in their cars to prove it.

Our thanks to

Heritage Insurance[/b] for their sponsorship.

Porscheshop[/b] for emergency mechanical support

By the looks, not a major interest from the 997 register, so Saturday is looking a bit uncertain..
I may offer to assist Geoff on this one as the traffic does tend to get in our way on the Sunday [;)]

Hi Gary,

We're booked on the rally (number 18). We'd love to do something on the Saturday if there are still plans. If not we will probably stay over anyway rather than travel down on the day. If people are staying in a particular hotel we will book there too if someone can let us know where.

Best wishes

We are booked in (number 74). Will be travelling up from Reading in the morning. Hope to see see you there!
