- Follow a suggested 75 mile route, mostly on rolling B roads via lovely Cotswold towns and villages;
- Coffee stop to watch the arrival and departure of two steam trains;
- Lunch and spend the afternoon at Hidcote, a grade 1 listed National Trust 10.5 acre garden;
- Enjoy retail therapy at the on-site nursery and gift shop;
- 50 mile return journey to your own schedule.
- Depart 9.45am from Silverstone Circuit Cafe (postcode NN12 8TL) (note: the cafe will not be open);
- Optional Super Sausage Cafe (NN12 7QD) breakfast from 8.30am;
- Late starters can join 10 miles further south (Croughton A43/B4031 - (NN13 5RD)) at 9.55am;
- Suggested route takes in Chipping Norton, Stow-on-the-Wold, arriving around 11.20 at Toddington Station (GL54 5DT) on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway;
- Coffee available to purchase whilst awaiting the 11.50 northbound and 12.00 southbound steam-hauled trains;
- Depart via Broadway and Chipping Campden, to arrive 30 minutes later at Hidcote (non-reserved grass parking);
- Hidcote (GL55 6LR) entry free for National Trust members; £14.00 (gift aid), £12.70 (standard) fee per non-member;
- Lunch / refreshments for purchase at time to suit you (or bring a picnic);
- Gardens open until 6.00pm.
