Could someone measure this for me

Hi,
My car is away having a new clutch fitted and I thought I'd use opportunity to fit a wooden guard rail along the wall at the side of the drive (the side the passenger uses!) - to prevent the edge of the door getting bashed.

Doh - I now realise I should have measured the height of the point on the door most likely to hit the wall BEFORE I took it to the mechanic who is fitting the clutch!

If one of you has a few seconds and a tape measure could you do me a favour and measure the ground-to-extreme-point-of-door height for me. Then I can get this job done on Sunday while there is no car in the way on drive (or to drive!)

Thanks

Hi,

lazy option[8D]
I've tried is to get the pipe insulation foam - as mentioned above,
then a thick bit of nylon rope / washing line etc.

fix the rope at the height you want, then just slot the foam over it,

then you can lower it if you lower the suspension[;)]!

I've got an old doormat nailed to the wall at the point where the door opens - covers all the bases [:)]

Piece of old carpet on the floor, old carpet tiles on the walls - both sides... doesn't matter about the height then.

I like that idea. Simple and clever.
