could we have a member map ?

could we ? is it possible to add a map of the british isles so that we can place ourselves on the map. It could be useful so that we can support other members locally when they need help with their cars. We could mark all the Porsche suppliers, breakers, Dealerships, Clubs meeting places race circuits hill climbs

We could go round to other members and lend support, drink their beer and eat their burgers etc

is this a viable idea ? even a simple list could be useful

You could always fill in the "location" bit in your profile, peanut.....[:D][:D][:D]

Good idea, though. I would guess that the answer will be "there is a new, shiny website being built that will support this"......

In practice, the only group I've been on that did this was a dog breed-society website that had a "place your pin" map. After about three days the south-east was a total mess of pins, and the entries went out of date without being updated.

I'd suggest that, if you want to organise anything from a few blokes helping you hold your tools to a major meet like Hastings then just throw it open on her and you're bound to get some interest!

Fen did start something on Google Earth which did exactly as you suggest. I have no Idea what happened to it though.

A search may bring up the link.
