Coupe leaks

I' ve jusy noticed that my 993 has started to let in water from somewhere. The rear foot wells are getting very wet with the fronts a little drier. The car lives ouitside mostly and does go through the car wash now and again but not often. It takes ages to dry out so I really need to get this sorted quickly

Its not obvious where or how the water is getting in any ideas?

Bruce, the front drains exit inside the rear of the front wheel arches, and the rears exit through holes either side of the rear engine cover, lift the engine cover up and you should see small holes at either side of the rear body section that the hood hinges from.
To test the drains open your sunroof, use a cup and pour water down each drain and you should see it coming out.

The drains in the sunroof are visible at the front and the rear ones are in fact on large one that spreads to either side and then drains.

Checked the sunroof drains last night, they are nice and clear, so its not leaking from there.

The car is LHD and both rear foot wells are wet as well as the passengesr front foot well.

The rear screen has recently been changed so I took out the rear parcel shelf and it looms like there is a leak in one corner. I'm going to give the rear screen a good hosing at the weekend and see if this is the cause of the wet rear carpets.

As for the front foot well I'm a little unsure, as it loos very difficult for the water to drain from the rear to front footwells.

The car has A/C and I had this on all day yesterday in very heavy rain, I was wondering if there is a blocked drain from the A/C system that is causing the passsengers footwell to get wet,

now where does that A/C drain exit?

Checked the rear screen at the weekend and no leaks.[:)]

However the front screen leaks like the proverbial on the passenger side piller[]

So I'm going to get the front screen taken out and resealed. Theres always been an annoying squeaking from around the screen as well, I assume the Porsche dealer can fix this at the same time ?

Congratulations on finding your car's squeaky windscreen. It's no exaggeration to say "they all do that". Yes there is a dealer fix for this which involves a strip of adhesive tape under the seal. I have also tried a thin smear of copperslip grease onto the glass under the rubber seal - that seems to work OK for a while. I have heard vasoline also helps. (The car, not the owner).
