Couriers

I need to collect a set of 4 wheels from Kent and get them back to Wilts. Does anyone have any idea of how much this would cost and/or a dependable firm to do it?
Cheers
David

another member has stated this service is good http://www.sendmy-parcel.co.uk/ but i have not used them myself

I used paecel 2 go for the same package and they charged me around a tener a wheel with tyres... and it was all sorted via my computer.

Just be aware that both of those companies are 'virtual couriers' - ie they do not actually do any of the collecting, trunking, sorting or delivering themselves, but rather pay another carrier to do the physical work for them.

I would want to fasten the wheels to a pallet securely and then use one of the better pallet companies to deliver it - TPN, Palletways etc. Would not like to send them loose!

Best of luck

The above is true i have also used DHL who charged me around the same and i took them in and waved them good bye...[:D][:D][:D]

Appleton - what you say is true. If you use SendMyParcel then a shiney DHL van will arrive at your door.

If you want to attach your wheels to a pallet then you'll pay for a pallet space on a vehicle.... this is unlikely to be a cost effective option.

To be honest, as long as the pallet is 'stackable' then it is as broad as it is long - if you send them as a consignment of 4 parcels @ 40kg, it is likely to cost you much the same as a economy servcie pallet from one of the big pallet carriers.
