Cracked turbo right side

Hi all ,
so my turbochargers are rotten ! the right hand side is now cracked and the left hand side it not far away either ,
has anyone else had this problem ?


where would be a sensible £ place to pick up some new ones or dose anyone have a set or a single that they have maybe upgrade ?

what sort of condition are they in generally?


i had both of mine refurbished with new internals for half the price of 1 new one

Hi, difficult to tell from a close up pic, I would contact someone that could refurbish them to see if they are salvageable (weld & dress plus new internals) depending on their general condition they may be or you will be in for at least 6.5k+vat last time i enquired, I paid £1500 for a full refurb 4 years ago, plus £1500 in pipes & associated parts & changed them myself.

I'm in the middle of engine out to replace the remaining hoses and oil lines due to corrosion and coolant leaks on the plastic elbows (see Sharkwerx replacement pipes for details)below the 2 top heat exchangers.

As you say finding someone who wants to upgrade is possibly your best shot, It might be worth contacting some of the tuning shops to see if they have a secondhand set available.
