Cracks on leather seat

New member
I have noticed some feint crack lines appearing on the passenger seat of my C2S. Car is just under a year old and has standard black leather seats.

Has anyone else experienced this? I seem to remember a post in the past about this or it may have been on Rennlist.

Please let me know.

I can't help re a 997. However, I regularly 'feed' my leather (Porsche used to say that it was an annual requirement but they don't seem to make that obvious any more). Porsche Tequipment part number 00004400002 is what I use. It takes a very long time (days) to soak into my leather seats.

I believe its called natural aging most manufactures will state its part of having natural leather for your seats, and is not a fault. feeding the leather will help reduce major cracking but not eliminate completely. [;)]
