Hey all,

My colleague went to watch some dragster action recently and spotted a brightly coloured 924 dragster, unfortunately he wasn't around to witness what 1/4 mile times it was running but he did get some photos.

Anyone know who owns this beast and what sort of modifications it has had ?

Regards

Looks like one of "Adie the throp's" rover V8 conversions with perhaps a vortex supercharger.

I know she sold her 924's with V8's a couple of years ago before she went off to Canada to live. I think she is still on the 924.org forums

Blimey []

I guess a bonnet was deemed superfluous.

I guess a bonnet wouldn't fit!!!!!!!!!!!

Certainly looks like a V8 and from the look of the windscreen sticker, maybe www.bespoken2o.com might be able to assist you in what else has been done but I would guess that it also has Nitrous injection.

Myself, I prefer them as the factory intended, and they are worth more that way too...

I wonder why they didn't just take the bonnet off; it's hardly doing to close with that thing attached. That turbo must have come on boost about 7,000rpm - I bet the guy who was poking the engine got a bit of a scare!
