Creaking noise from clutch

Hi All,

Got this random creaking noise that happens when I depress the clutch pedal.
Sounds like its coming from under the car not the actual pedal in the footwell.
See video here ... https://www.dropbox.com/s/h725k1hjcnxzr3f/IMG_2413.mp4?dl=0

Doesn't happen all the time but most often it will initially be quiet and then start after about 15 minutes of driving.

I'm thinking that the slave is on the way out or the connection to the fork is bad?

Any thoughts welcome :)

Other possibly related issues.... First gear and second gear are not always easy to engage.

Hi radial ,
Just had an identical problem with my 996 fixed. The creaking noise was absent until the car had covered about 20 miles or so from cold and it gradually worsened over a period of months. I tried spraying lithium grease on the pivot point but it didn't make much difference so took the car to my indy. They picked up on the issue straight away ,the clutch master cylinder had developed a small leak. They replaced it and it's night and day different - silent and smooth again.

Regards , Paul.

Awesome thanks :)

I'll have a look at both cylinders when I can get it up on the ramp and report back.

Same issue and same solution on my daily Honda CR-V

New master cylinder fixed it completely.

Just been looking again at parts. I could replace the master cylinder but the noise is not coming from the battery compartment where the cylinder is located. It's clearly coming from under the car. I'm thinking perhaps I have the same issue but in the slave rather than master.
I don't see any obvious leaks on either.
