creaking roof

my car has developed a creaking roof. Although I'm not totally certain I'm putting it down to a fault with my sunroof as the noise stops when I open the roof. I have the extended warranty but looking through the policy booklet I'm unclear if the mechanics of the sunroof are actually covered. Does anyone know this or indeed had this problem too ?

I'll be buying the new warranty in January and as this will be more like a manufacturers warranty, surely it will be covered then.
So do I raise it as an issue now or keep quiet? - my car will be in for a service in a couple of weeks?

Hi Marcus. I'd be amazed if the warranty covers this! I have a sunroof in my 996 and it did creak for a while - but in my case it was when it was fully open and back into the roof lining. Only a suggestion but do you think that pencil lead might "lubricate" the seals around the roof when it's closed? It shouldn't show up as the seals are black anyway...?
