Creaking windscreen

Advice please. Had a new windscreen fitted to my 1996 993 Carrera 4 last Weds. after the old one was cracked coming down the M5.
The new one creaks something rotten. Can anyone advise re some sort of tape which I understand can be fitted behind the outer rubber surround of the screen ? Is this an OPC job/DIY or what ? Any ideas on cost ?
