Creaky rear suspension?

The roads around Ballymena are just terrible! My 968 sounds like a door opening in a horror movie, CREAK! CREAK! creak! but is fine on the open road - or maybe I just can't hear it!
Rear suspension, nearside! Independent torsion rear suspension (I think!), possibly bearings??? The car's been pretty much laid up over the winter - maybe a good dose of WD40 would solve the problem???

Anybody have any ideas or suggestions?

Hello Peter,

It may be the rubber bushes at the end ot the torsion tube squeaking but without pulling it apart
I can't think of a way of lubricating it. It could be any number of links in the rear suspension and some form
of lube may help, WD40 may silence things for a short while but is not really a good solution (oil and
rubber are not a good mix) I would try a little investigation, can it be a shock absorber? Is everything as
tight as it should be?

Sorry for not being much help, if the car is laid up for a while it may free up with use.

I'm hoping to have a bit of a dig around this weekend, if the weather improves a bit, to see if I can at least identify where the creak is coming from.

We have a couple of really good guys, Alan and George, here in N.Ire. who could probably sort out the creak - at the moment I'm really looking for ideas!

Many thanks Peter,
Peter!

if it is the rubber bushes as Peter says, Castrol do a grease called 'Red Rubber Grease'.
