Credit where it is due...

A quick note to say how pleased I've been with the service I've received at JCT 600 (Newcastle) in the last month or so. My car's been in for a couple of small jobs. Both have been carried out efficiently and the invoices have been very reasonable on both occasions. A full valet was also a nice gesture - something I had neither requested or expected.

So... my thanks for great service to Danielle, Colin and Ged.
(No, I am not connected in any way to JCT600... just wanted to give credit where it is due!)

Nice to hear that Colin after all the hard work Ged has put in recently. Mike and Danielle were also at last weeks meet and we had some interesting discussions about how our OPC is trying to do all it can for our members [;)]

Thanks

got to agree Ged, Colin and Michael all very helpful with parts and advice for my newly acquired 944S2.

Danielle was telling me how much she enjoyed the last meeting too

They saved me a small fortune on 2 new 911 wings the other week, even gave me discount even though id already told them they were cheaper than a pattern part company.

I have to agree with the comments here (it's very easy to slag off the OPC's as you find on the likes of Boxanet).
My 53 plate Boxster S was in for a minor service last month and I knew it needed 2 new rear tyres (I shopped around and found that North East Tyres & Exhausts were the cheapest for the N1 rated Michelin Pilot Sports) - a phone call to Michael in parts and eventually he agreed to price match (about £160 cheaper than their original quote!!)

Not the first time I've asked them to price match (eg sparkplugs which I fitted myself, also front tyres last year), I always take my own Mobil1 oil in (£23.48 for 4 litres at Costco) and they don't have a problem with that.

I've always used OPC Newcastle (JCT 600) for main servicing, some jobs I do myself and others I've gone to Tom Ferguson for.

Not sure whether you are supposed to get a discount on parts for being a PCGB member but I've never asked for it.

They seem to realise that people will go elsewhere so especially in the current climate, they are trying their best.

Well done

make sure you do ask, you'll get the discount no problem. Made a big difference for me with the replacement seals and trim parts etc on my recently acquired 944, much cheaper than specialist Porsche shops too
