Crest replacement - 3 spoke steering wheel

Hi,

Been a while since my last post. I need some help. I've managed to get hold of a coloured crest for my 3 spoke wheel (to replace black and silver one currently fitted). I thought they were just glued/stuck in place, but some tentative levering suggests otherwise.

Can anyone shed any light as to how the crest is attached?

Very firmly fixed I believe - probably by a form of "riviting".

Why are they so firmly attached...?
Because you really don't want one embedded in your forehead if the airbag is triggered.

Personally (and I don't mean to be nasty) I'd leave the existing one there if I was you [&o]
