Excuse my ignorance John, but what does 'open pit lane' mean ? Is it that you take your own car on and use your own tyres ?

Chris

Hi Chris,

The idea of the trackday is to use your own car on track[:D]

The "open pit lane" means you can go out whenever you like, for as long as you like. The only limiting factor is your sympathy to your car.

Some trackdays have various sessions i.e. First timers go out all together, they all come in after say a 10 minute session. Then people who have experience of trackdays go out for there session.

Open pit lane days mean you do have a mixture of experienced and inexperienced driver out at the same time, but so long as people obey the rules it's fine. Plus Croft limit the numbers on track to 15 I think.

Thanks Simon for the useful explanation for a 'first timer' (or should I say old timer) - I'll think about it.

Chris

No worries Chris.

If you have e-mail I can send you a few pics from the last two trackdays. Give you a taste of what sort of cars are there.

There's some VERY nice machines. Just seeing and more importantly hearing one of Malton's GT2 RS's going flat out is worth the entry fee alone.[:)]
