Crossover Pipes

Hi all I am in the process of ordering a TiAL 38mm wastegate from pauer tuning in the states and need it quite urgently. I am stopped at the ordering point at the minute because Vic at Pauer needs to know if my car is running a one or two piece crossover on the exhaust. The latter being good as the former involes some amount of welding for the wastegate to fit. I am not in a position to be able to get the car up until next week and was wondering if anybody knew the answer. The car is a 1988 Turbo 220 HP. In the states he says the one piece was only fitted to 1986 cars. I was wondering if this also applied to the rest of the free world.

I went through the same when I ordered mine. My car is an 86 and has the two piece crossover pipe. Now I might be wrong but I am near 100% sure any after 86 they had two piece crosover pipes. The problem is with 86 cars.
Its not the end of the world if you have one piece as you can cut the flange off and turn it and re-weld or easy to by a two piece pipe of ebay.

Other point is make sure you get one with a 0.75 bar spring as you can always go higher but cant go below if you get one with a stronger spring.

I'm almost postitive your '88 car will have the two piece (unless its been changed by a previous owner in the past 21 years).

I'm afraid the only definate way is to get underneath and have a look.
