Crosswind stability

Driving back along the M6 this evening I was aware that my 987 Boxster felt very unstable in what was a fairly strong but not gale force crosswind. Not having really noticed this before I am wondering if it is a common trait or is something up with my suspension geometry? All opinions welcome! All tyre pressures are ok and all aerodynamic aids are intact!

Thanks

Stewart

I've noticed the same thing - particularly if a full side wind. Surprising in view of the height (or lack of!) the car.

Sometimes it's almost like driving the old Ford Sapphires! Heaven Forbid ever again......

thats one problem i have never found the Boxster suffer from. although i do confess i've not driven the 987 version.
i'd get someone like Center gravity to take alook.

Hi Stewart ........... no probs with mine iether, been driving it slow and very high speeds with medium to strong side winds and not felt anything out of order. May a bit of buffeting but nothing more. Funnly enought I also spend quite a bit of time on the M6 and it's very open so think I would have noticed. I'm running on 19" and PASM too ...... cheers Mike

Boxster should be fine.

Of course, any Porsche with a lightly laden front end will move around a bit, but that's how you get the delicate feedback through the steering.
