Crosthwaite & Gardiner - Sunday 5th June

We are pleased to confirm Sunday 5th June for the visit to Crosthwaite & Gardiner ("˜one of the world's leading manufacturers and suppliers of parts to the historic racing industry'). Follow the link to their website and learn about their history working with Bugattis since the 1950's and the pre-war Silver Arrows. Their facilities are simply stunning and this visit is a must for any historic motorsport enthusiast.

Previous visits to Richard and Ollie have been excellent and I am sure this event will be as informative and enjoyable as those in the past. For petrol heads this really is a fantastic opportunity to witness workmanship of the highest quality.

The visit will be followed by lunch at a local pub or restaurant "" venue to be confirmed. Suitably refuelled, we will then drive through the lovely Sussex countryside, including a visit to the location of the old Firle hillclimb on the South Downs.

Places are limited for this visit (maximum of 50 people), so those interested should contact our RO and register their interest, to avoid disappointment.

We still have a handful of spaces left for this event if you'd like to come along.

Lunch will be at The Five Bells, North Chailey before we head off for a drive out to the site of the Firle hill climb.

Please let us know if you'd like to join us, this is open to other regions. First come, first served for the remaining spaces.

Further details about times and locations will be e-mailed to you once your attendance is confirmed.

Thanks to those who organised this amazing , low key visit ...........................it frankly astonishes me they let us in ..............exchanged views and answered any questions bearing in mind the sensitivity of the nature of some of the work................alos highly amused to see Son owns my old car from mid '70s ......very pleased he knew most of the history dleighted to fill in some of the larger blanks !

Thanks again for giving me a place coming down from another region

Hi Vic

Glad you enjoyed it. It's quite an amazing place to visit and seems to sum up all things good about motorsport, craftmanship and 'Britishness'! Last time we were there we went into the house, to find a Bugatti chassis in the living room, which seemed wonderfully eccentric to me.

How amazing to see your old car there, it was lovely (if it's the one I'm thinking of).

Thanks for coming down and bringing your stunning car as well. Sorry we couldn't have organised better weather, we tried our best but ran out of luck that morning.
