Does anyone know if this will fit my 2005 997 carrera s with a multifunction steering wheel please
Porsche part no. 997.613.261.00

Yes, correct part number (for either 997.1 or 997.2) multifunction wheel doesn’t affect the fitment I don’t think, if your car doesn’t have cruise already, you will also need a different lower column cover too (with the hole in it for the extra stalk/switch)

Part number for column housing is
997 552 475 03
Available in different colours/leather etc

Also required if you don’t currently have cruise, wiring harness connection
997 622 674 00

After install, you need get the ecu recoded to recognise it too, either by dealer/Indy or someone with a coding tool

Popkid do you know anything about the central locking? I put a new locking mechanism in today as my window wasn't staying lower when opened door. Word now but central locking decided not to an I get a beep from the horn now when driving. Telling me summit aint right. Any ideas. I did disconnect battery while doing job. Thanks

Might end up that way. Trying to save a few pennies as I am quite mechanicaly minded. Was a starting swap didn't think much could go wrong really.

No, sorry, not an expert, could be microswitch issue? If the system isn’t detecting that the door is shut? I guess you might need to try to reset/recode the ecu (handover reset) or the door module?

Thanks guys. Just thought I would try on here before handing it to opc. Some one may have had that issue before. Can't be much....

That's a good find thankyou. It'll get sorted I'll have another go soon. Don't mind pottering with the thing. Getting to know the car that's for sure....
