CS steering wheel

not sure if i'm allowed to do this on the 944 forum, but i wanted to see if anyone was interested from here before i put it in 'members for sale'.

I put a CS wheel on my last 951 and like it so much i brought one in anticipation of buying Slim's turbo. But now i've got the car i actually really like the lozenge and so am selling the CS wheel.

It is an OE part, like the one in the photo (though not that actual one) the one piece wheel, not to be confused with the wheels on which the three spokes are seperate bits of leather. It is still in the box, never used

I would be happy with £220 + carriage or pickup from london.

drop me a line if you are interested or phone 07932 750147

"Clint B" was looking for a new wheel ~ he may be interested ? (see post down below somewhere).

Was Stephen crying when you took the car away? [;)]

How you getting on with it?

Hi Mik,

I was surprised at how OK Stephen was actually, but as he explained, he had said his goodbyes a long time ago, when i first put the deposit down. Plus he has the impending addition to his family to think about...

As for the car, I am absolutely loving it. To be honest, I would prefer this power from a normally aspirated engine (moved from a ZM Coupe) but I cannot wipe that fat grin off my face when the boost kicks in. In honesty, it's also about learning how to drive with the turbo again.
My last 951 was chipped to about 275bhp and felt like a bit of a pussy cat in comparison. Every grown man I have taken for a spin just giggles inanely when the power of the turbo hits. But I think what really makes it for me is the suspension set up; my last car was standard, the M030 is a different world, plus the added 968 arb's. That set up, along with the legendary weight distribution, makes it a truly great drive. Another thing is has on the BMW is that it is a genuine GT car: happily cruise 'slightly' above the speed limit all day, i can fit my niece and nephew in the back (they love it), and you can get a set of shelves from B&Q in the back, if you really have to...what more could you want

one very happy man

Matt

BTW, i think the wheel is sold, i've had a PM. I'll confirm or not when deal is done.

Good stuff ~ both the probable wheel sale and that you are so happy with the car.

It didn't have the uprated roll bars on it when I passengered in it, but I certainly giggled when it came "on song".
