CS wheel: is it just me or...

fitted my 968 CS wheel at the weekend - what a difference!

I know that this is totally illogical, even weird but it seems to make a massive difference to the feel of the car: it feels much lighter and more reponsive, I just feel much more master of my beast, as it were.

is it just me???

Matt

Yes I saw that too... keeping a close eye on it, especially after reading your comments above

They are nice, especially with the badge in the centre.
Are they a different size to the lozenge?I quite like the lozenge tho' but i find it a bit too big.

We have one of each [8|] and I really do prefer the chunky feel of the CS that is on my Turbo. The outer diameter of both wheels are identical, but the CS rim is much thicker and therefore the inner diameter is thinner. The lozenge feels really spindly in the hands by comparison.

I do fancy one, but they (and the RS mk1 & 2 wheels)score very low on the MPVFMS (mik's percieved value for money scale).

I'm not sure what real advantage they offer over a 350mm Momo Race (with appropriate Boss) for example ~ which can be had new for substantially less than a 2nd hand CS wheel.

I guess it's down to OEM porsche part.....but it is a heckuva premium.

And now you've got me thinking about getting one of them again..... []

Sorry to say it Mik, but having just fitted the CS wheel, I think it actually scores very highly on the MPVFMS (matt's percieved value for money scale). I know they are expensive but they are a qaulity bit of kit.
IMHO there aren't many £200ish mods that add that much to the driving experience [8D]

Managed to resist getting one for two years (after driving a 968 CS with one), but this week I caved in and fitted one [:)]

So much nicer to hold, I'm sure it'll go faster too [:D]

Just one thing, question for all you who have one, I can see a gap between the wheel and the steering column shroud (especially noticable from the passenger seat) that wasn't there before.

The wheel wouldn't go on any further than it is and seems tight and secure, do 'They all do that Sir' or have I got a problem?
